Granny and Pop were able to come and visit a little this past weekend and we took advantage of that by asking Pop to help carve one of our pumpkins. Carving is not an easy job. It’s fun, but time consuming and hard work. I have certainly not mastered the technique or even come close so I […]
Caley’s class took a little field trip to Tate Farms today and I thought it was gonna be freezing but it was actually pretty nice weather. The sun was out…thank goodness. First stop: petting the animals. I think they used to let you actually pick the bunnies up but not anymore. The kids were only […]

Elvis…..welcome to the Busby house. Aunt Carolyn and Amy gave Carter a gift card for his birthday so he decided that he wanted a fish. Fish are good with me. We will never again get a frog that’s for sure. I had to go to Pet Smart every week to buy crickets just to feed […]

When I was in grad school I got a goldfish and called it Nacho. I bought a little (1 or 2 gal) fishtank that had a (obviously cheap but still gave it fresh air) filter. That little 29cent fish lived until we were in our Otter Trail house–almost 4 years! Anyways…I still have it (in a retired, non-fish-inhabited state) if you are interested in trying to help the fish live longer. If not, feel free to disregard and I'm sure we would all agree not to tell Carter the offer was ever on the table! ๐

Stacy…oh my goodness….are you serious? I would love it! I've been looking for fish aquariums today on craigs list because I was starting to feel bad for the little guy. I think he's depressed or maybe he's about to die now. If so, I want my money back. ๐
Crawdad hunting in the creek/sewer. Disgusting. The boys said they were stuck in quick sand….Caley called it “kick stand.” Camden lost his shoes in there too. Play dates at the park. This swing was very popular….everyone wanted to stay on. Lots of screaming. Staying up late watching TV on the couch/bed.

Crawdad fishing…yuck! Boys will be boys, huh? Guess I need to send Noah over there with Camden and Carter so he can learn how to be a "real" boy. Love the swing pictures…that was too funny when they were screaming and laughing so loud! ๐

Boys!!! Looks so familiar =)
I was in the crafty spirits and made some wall art for Caley’s room. The boys are now wondering why I’m making everything for her so I’ve gotta get on the ball and think of something I can do for them. I would love ideas!!!You can find the tutorial for the fabric covered wall art […]

BAHAHAHAHA! Oh Caley! SO funny!
-
October 8, 2009 - 2:10 pm
That is SO funny!! ๐ Her teachers are gonna think that her mommy doesn't wear clothes around the house!!
I don't really know how to deal with this subject. I don't like the word 'boobs' and Lawson and Jordan address them all the time. Jordan came up with her own word for them–one day she just started calling them pom-poms.
The other day, Lawson went to the childcare at the gym and saw Scooby Doo on the tv there. On the way home, he told me about this "new" girl on tv, Daphne. He said her "shell bumps" were bigger than Ariel's. Daphne had big shell bumps, and Ariel had littler ones.
Crazy how curious they can be! ๐

At least they are perky! After nursing 2 kids, I don't think AA could draw mine up that high. And your widow's peak is fabulous as well!
-
October 8, 2009 - 11:23 pm
Well at least the boobies look "perky" on her drawing! ha ha ha!!
-
October 9, 2009 - 3:13 am
That is really funny! Hope Joshua and Marah don't draw one of me anytime soon. I would be really afraid to see it.

It’s fall break so we are definitely looking for things to do. I told the kids I would take them to this cute little NEW cupcake place called “Gigi’s Cupcakes.” If you haven’t been there yet you have to check it out! It’s right behind Steak Out by Huntsville Hospital. They’ve only been open for […]

Believe it or not, I almost burned myself out. 2 in one week will do it. THe German Chocolate Cake is also spectacular! Call me if you have a moment of weakness, I'll go with you!
Does anyone know what in the world is so spectacular about these “silly bandz“? If you haven’t heard of them, they’re these little rubbery bands that are in the shape of animals, dinosaurs, etc. They are extremely popular here in Huntsville and my boys are begging for them!! I let Carter get a pack for […]

October 5, 2009 - 1:24 am
I've noticed all the volleyball girls wearing them too! They have only one or two at a time…guess that's the 'cool' way for older girls. It's always going to be something isn't it!? Remember the jewelry in our day that had the plastic chains and charms! Wonder if that will come back around?
-
October 5, 2009 - 1:50 am
All of our Huddle kids wear them…and they trade them!! On FB, they'll say, "anyone want to trade bracelets? I've got a dinosaur…"
Crazy! ๐
